Insurance Information

If paying through insurance, please note that each health plan is different and services may be subject to a deductible, coinsurance, or copayment. Additionally, even for clients who are in-network, services are typically covered when deemed “medically necessary”. Please keep in mind that while Latitude Speech Therapy will bill in-network insurance for rendered services, clients are ultimately responsible for any amount not covered by insurance.

Copays

For in-network providers, you may have copays associated with your visits. Speech Therapy is considered a ‘Specialist Care Visit’. You can find the designated copay amount on the front of your insurance card.

Deductibles & Coinsurance

Many insurance plans have a deductible or the total amount you must pay for any healthcare service (including Speech Therapy) before insurance will “kick in”. Insurance companies will not cover healthcare costs until the deductible is met. After the deductible is met, the insurance company may cover all or part of the cost of services depending on your specific health plan.

Coinsurance is the percentage of costs of a covered health care service you are responsible for paying (e.g. 20%) after you have met your deductible. Coinsurance may vary depending on in-network or out-of-network status of the provider.

Medical Necessity

Many insurance plans determine whether or not Speech Therapy is covered based on the particular area of need. After the initial evaluation, we will be able to provide a diagnostic code for the client that can be used to inform medical necessity.

Out-of-Network

Out-of-network means that we do not have an agreement with that insurance provider and do not submit claims to them directly. We can provide you with a monthly invoice ("superbill") that you can submit to your insurance company independently. Please note that we cannot guarantee full or partial service coverage for out-of-network providers. Please contact your insurance company directly to inquire about your coverage.
